We’re seeking a marketing leader to join our fast-growing agency and lead strategic paid media direction for our diverse portfolio of top DTC brands.

This leadership role requires collaboration across multiple internal and external teams and fluency across digital and social channels, analytics, reporting, and measurement.

You’re a player-coach committed to inventive thinking, data-driven solutions, and a collaborative team culture. You’ll be entrusted with Donut’s client media strategy and expected to lead it alongside our co-founders. In this role, you will lead, coach, and develop a team of talented operators within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

What You’ll Do

Media Strategy & Execution

  • Set goals and vision for your team and Donut Digital’s future

  • Own key customer acquisition channels such as Google Search, Display, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram for assigned client accounts

  • Develop short-term and long-term acquisition strategies with client budgets that will deliver on performance goals while supporting brand goals

  • Set KPI targets and develop annual and quarterly channel initiatives

  • Evaluate acquisition initiatives and shepherd the process all the way to execution

  • Develop a culture of testing and experimentation across all acquisition channels

  • Proactively seek emerging platforms (e.g. Podcast, TikTok, CTV) to add new opportunities to Donut’s services and open up additional avenues for business growth

  • Build strategic relationships with complementary media agencies (e.g., podcast, CTV, linear TV) and external operations/finance teams & consultants

Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of talented doers – advise, motivate, and challenge your team to develop breakthrough marketing strategies for clients

  • Influence and get buy-in for your ideas with clients and cross-functional teams across the organization

  • Work with creative counterparts to develop full-funnel customer journeys for clients from ad to landing page strategy

  • Partner with creative counterparts and external client teams to develop inspiring, strategic, and effective communication briefs

Client Management

  • Serve as Donut’s main paid media POC and in-house expert for assigned clients

  • Advise external client teams on media best practices, strategies, and ideas

  • Manage launch pipeline for assigned clients with your creative counterpart, including the completion and transfer of deliverables to clients in a timely manner

  • Develop processes to ensure cross-functional collaboration and intra-marketing team success

Measurement & Reporting

  • Lead the measurement and optimization of client acquisition channels

  • Report on findings to share across internal and external teams for improved performance

What You’ll Need:

  • 6-10 years of paid media experience, preferably a mix of agency and in-house

  • Significant experience managing paid campaigns across digital and social channels, having owned and successfully deployed multi-million dollar marketing budgets

  • Excellent performance marketing and creative instincts with a track record of driving new concepts and pioneering new approaches within your company

  • Proficient knowledge of unit economics (i.e. LTV/CAC)

  • Strong leadership experience and people management skills, with an ability to build, motivate, and lead a team a high-functioning team while inspiring them to perform at the highest level of excellence

  • Ability to navigate and influence across a fast-paced start-up organization

  • Strong executive presence, communication skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit

  • Excellent presentation skills - both within the department and to stakeholders

  • High attention to detail, expert analytical skills, comfortable validating large amounts of data

  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, high-energy environment that requires the ability to multi-task and implement high priority initiatives

  • A growth mindset, always thinking about how our clients can develop resonant, insightful advertising across omnichannel mediums and what makes content engaging across audiences

  • A passion for continuous improvement – you consistently challenge the status quo in an effort to optimize current strategies and processes
